Blog Summary

As part of the Set Design team we had a lot to do and organise:

· First we made a sketch of what our initial plan for the stage was, with the plan done we knew what we needed to organise.

· Then we had a chat with the finance team and they told us Baintons would make our set for free.

· We went to Mr Wardman who has a contact at Baintons and he set up the meeting for us.

· Then me and Aimee went to Baintons and asked them to make us 4 playing cards and 1 mushroom.

· We then started painting the Alice onto a big piece of paper and then we started to paint the Mad Hatter.

· Once the mushrooms and playing cards had arrived we stayed back after school and at dinner times to paint them.

· The day before the show we put the paintings, playing cards and mushroom onto the stage and organised them so they were safe and looked good.



Overall I think that the set design group have done a lot towards the dance show. We communicated with the right groups (e.g. Lighting, costume and finance) and we made sure everything was done. We have been the first group in years to have a proper set, this was important to the group as a whole as we wanted to stand out.
